Day 24 & Day 25

Day 24 consisted of homework homework homework. We ate in the cafe for dinner. Nothing exciting happened at all.

Day 25: Today I had to go on a second field assignment for my Italian II class. I ended up doing well on the midterm last week by the way. Each of us had to go in pairs, so I went with a girl from my class who also wanted to go today. She brought her room mate and I brought Ashley and we went downtown together. Before we went on our field assignment, her and her room mate stopped near the Trevi Fountain to buy a jacket that they wanted.  This was the first time Ashley and I saw it, and it was to crowded to get up close to it. We have been planing to go see it early in the morning anyways.

BLOCKBUSTER!
Our field assignment consisted of going to several places and writing a composition in Italian. Along the way we saw a BLOCKBUSTER that was STILL IN BUSINESS! I had no idea they were an overseas chain! Our field assignment ended with visiting ruins near a church. When we passed the church we found out that the ruins were actually another part of the Roman aqueducts.  It was really exciting to touch them and see them up close.

After we completed our field assignment we went back to G. Fassi, the oldest gelateria in Italy which we had to visit for our first field assignment. It was delicious as always! When we got there, there was an unleashed dog that was sitting outside waiting for its owner to come out.

GELATO!

It's going to be hard to get used to the ice cream back home in the States. It's so different from gelato.  Because we had the gelato so late, and we had such large portions, we were not hungry until 11 o'clock at night. Since nothing was really open, Ashley and I ordered two cheap personal pizzas from Pizza Flash.  They were pretty tasty. We have since been working on papers in the library.

Late night pizza!
