Rome Day 6

Ashley standing on my bed!
We had toast with butter again. This is getting old. Ashley and I both had Italian quizzes today.  I did OK.  I now have a sense of what my teacher is looking for on quizzes.  Most of the class said they didn't do to well.  Ashely said she did just fine on hers.  Because the lunches here also haven't been so fantastic, we both were craving something of substance for dinner tonight.  We decided to go to the Hard Rock Cafe.

To get there we called a Taxi to pick us up from the Rome Center.  As we were waiting we were greeted by some kitties.  They were real friendly.  One even looked like Blackie!

OMG BLACKIE LOOK-A-LIKE!!
When the taxi driver picked us up we told him where we wanted to go.  As the drive progressed, we found out that he had been to the United States years ago and toured the Eastern coast and South.  He said he really like Atlantic City and New Orleans.  He was really nice.  We got out right outside the Hard Rock Cafe which we were so happy to see.  Everyone there spoke English and the place reeked American!  As we waited outside for half an hour to be seated I picked up a fresh rose that was lying in the middle of the street.

When we sat down to eat, I saw a kid wearing a Jim Larranaga George Mason Basketball Camp t-shirt!  When we got our food it was delicious!! It was home away from home.  We both got cheeseburgers and Ashley got a Caesar salad! She was so happy! We ended up staying for four hours total just talking.

SOOOO excited for American Food

By the time we left it was dark outside.  We took the 62 bus back to St. Peter's Square which was the closest stop to catch the 990 bus back home.  The pope was asleep tonight!
